About Me Hi! I'm Makenzie, the face, hands, and heart behind Cooper & Co Balloons. 🎈 Cooper & Co is a one-woman balloon business it's just me! From answering your messages and planning your event to loading my balloons, showing up, and twisting every creation, I'm the person behind it all. What started as a creative outlet and a way to help my family has grown into something I truly love. Balloon twisting isn't just about making balloon animals, it's about giving kids something to be excited about, creating a fun experience, and adding a little extra joy and personality to your event. What exactly happens when I come to your event?
I bring the balloons, creativity, and a whole lot of fun! Kids can choose from my balloon menu, pick the balloon colors they would like and I twist it right in front of them! It's entertainment, creativity, and a little bit of magic all rolled up in one!
Can kids choose what they want?
Absolutely! I love letting kids be able to be a part of the process. My menu includes photos so children can point to what they want, making it easier for kids who are nonverbal, still developing communication skills, or simply arent sure how to tell me what they want.
Is Cooper & Co welcoming to kids of all abilities?
100% yes! Every child is welcome. I do my best to make the balloon experience work for each child and to include them in the process in whatever way feels the most comfortable for them. Some kids may talk, some may point, some way watch, and some may need a little extra time and that is okay! And if your kiddo is having one of those days trust me I get it. There is NO judgement here. Kids do not have to be perfectly calm or perfectly behaved to enjoy balloon fun. I will do my best to meet them where they are.
How long does it take to make a balloon?
Most creations take anywhere from 1-4ish minutes depending on what I am making. Some are quick, while others have a few more twist and details.
Why does the line sometimes move slowly
Because each child gets their own balloon experience. I am not just handing out balloons. I am creating them one at a time and letting each child be a part of the experience. Please be patient while everyone gets their turn. Your child's moment is worth the wait 🎈
What ages are balloon twisting best for?
Balloon twisting is especially fun for preschoolers, kids, and the young at heart! Even bigger kids and adults love getting balloons!
Are balloons safe for little ones?
Balloons are a lot of fun, however they can be a choking hazard for children 3 and under. Children under 3 should not handle balloons or balloon pieces without adult supervision. ***please let me know about any latex allergies before booking as I do use latex balloons.
Can I request a specific balloon?
It truly depends on the type of event I am at. For public events, I stick to my balloon menu so I can keep things moving and make sure everyone gets the same opportunity to choose a balloon. I know how long the balloon creations take which helps me give as many kids as possible their own balloon experience. If I make an exception for one child, it wouldn't be fair to the next child in line and I want everyone to feel included. If the event is slower or I do not have a long line, I may have more flexibility to take a special request or even try learning something new! I love a good balloon challenge when I have the time. For birthday parties and private events I love working with your theme as best I can. If there is a particular animal, character, color, or idea that fits your celebration I will do my best to incorporate it in the balloon fun!
Do you do more than balloon animals?
Yep! I can also make balloon towers for grand openings and for special occasions. I am also working on adding balloon garland/arches and more event decor to help make your event more special!
Do I work with charities & nonprofits?
I love supporting causes that are making a difference in the community. As a small business, I may not always be able to make a financial donation but I believe giving back can take many forms. Sometimes that means donating my time, providing balloon entertainment, creating something special for a fundraiser, helping promote a cause, or finding another way to work together. If you are a non profit or charity with an upcoming event, please reach out. I am always happy to see if there's a way Cooper & Co can help make your event more joyful!
